Hey guys! Here is the breakdown of the Boxycharm box I received for the month of February. I still wanted to get this one up here even though it’s last month’s box since this is my favorite beauty subscription of the ones I’ve tried. You always get such a great value for the monthly cost of $21.00 and there is currently no waitlist!
For my swatches I always put down a base (foundation and setting powder) beforehand to see how the products perform under circumstances they are normally used in. All of the makeup in this post are normally applied over a base so it made sense to do it this way.
Here is the back of the information card that came with the box.
Ofra pop-up palette mini and blush godet refill in winter rose glow
The first item in my box was the Ofra pop-up palette which is a magnetic case where you can store all of your pans that are compatible with these types of palettes. The palette measures 7”X4.5” and holds up to 48g of product. It pops up into a standing position to make product application a little easier since you no longer have to hold the palette. I had a hard time getting it to stay in that position so I don’t plan on using it set up that way.
They included an Ofra blush in the shade winter rose glow which is described by Ofra as a warm brown with a slight shimmer. When I swatched this, I could feel some roughness from the shimmer when swirling my finger in the pan but it wasn’t noticeable when I swiped the blush on my arm. I like this shade and definitely plan on putting it to good use.
Retail value: $19.00 for the palette
$12.00 for the blush
Here is a swatch of the blush.
Cover FX shimmer veil in Amethyst
Next in my box was the Cover FX shimmer veil. It is a multi-use cream color with shimmer. It can be used anywhere on the face and is suitable for all skin types. The product dries down to what I feel is a pretty transfer resistant finish. Some glitter transferred when I rubbed the swatch with my finger but seemed within reason. I haven’t done a wear test on this product so I can’t say how long that lasts. Boxycharm also included a 20% off your next purchase discount code for Cover FX.
Retail value: $28.00

Vintage Cosmetics smokey eye pencil in jet black
Following that is the Vintage Cosmetics smokey eye pencil in jet black which is a pigmented eye pencil with a creamy formula. It goes on smoothly and can be left as a clean line or smudged out depending on the effect you desire. It was difficult to remove this swatch so that says a lot for it longevity.
Retail Value: $21.00
Here is a swatch of the eye liner.
PUR The Complexion Authority x-faux lips plumping lip exfoliator
Next up is the PUR The Complexion Authority lip exfoliator which is a lip scrub in the convenient form of a chubby pencil. It has moisturizing shea butter and exfoliating raw sugar and microbeads to smooth and softened the lips. Just swipe it on, scrub with your finger and wipe off with a damp cloth. Works great to prep your lips for a matte lipstick and has a nice sweet vanilla scent.
Retail Value: $17.00
Crown Pro brush trio
Lastly is the Crown Pro brush trio. These are sturdy brushes with soft synthetic bristles that can be used with liquids, creams and powders. The Crown Pro website says they have an “indefinite lifespan with proper care”. The small brush can be used to conceal and highlight the under eyes, the medium brush works for foundation and contouring the face and the large brush is a powder brush for setting the entire face
Retail Value: $29.99
The grand total for the value of this box is $126.99! Now that is a good deal for only $21.00 per month!
