Boxycharm Subscription – May 2018

Boxycharm May 2018

img_5193.jpg

Hey guys! Here is the variation I received for the May 2018 Boxycharm box. Everyone was to receive the PUR Cosmetics Sculptor palette, Cover FX blurring primer, Pretty Vulgar The Ink gel liner and the Aesthetica 3 piece eye trio. For the variations I received the Aesthetica P12 face brush and HAN Skin Care lip gloss. They included a discount code for Cover FX and PUR Cosmetics that I black out in the picture below since as far as I know the discounts are for Boxycharm subscriber only.  As usual, overall I think this is a great box with an amazing value.

According to the Boxycharm website there is still no wait list and if you subscribe now you will be set to get the June 2018 box. If your interested in subscribing to Boxycharm please considering using my referral link at the end of this post. I don’t receive money when people using it, just Boxycharm rewards point. Thanks and hope you enjoy the rest of this post!

The theme of May’s box is Boxy Bash. Here is the front view of the card that came with the box.

And the back which talks about the products included in the box.

PUR Cosmetics Sculptor palette

img_5203.jpg

Starting off is the PUR Cosmetics Sculptor palette which has 2 shimmer highlight shades and 2 matte contour shades. You get a total of 10g/0.3oz of product. They smell amazing but will say the scent is a little strong for my personal preference. The shades feel smooth and buttery and blend easily. They contain coconut oil, green tea powder, panax ginseng root extract and panthenol which I believe are part of the “skin-nourishing Energy Complex” that they talk about on their website.

Cover FX blurring primer

Next is the Cover FX blurring facial primer which can be used alone or under foundation to blur the appearance of large pores, fine lines and texture. It can also be used over makeup as a retouching balm. You get 30mL/1.0 FL oz of product. It has a thick consistency with dimethicone as the first ingredient so if you don’t like primers with a silicone feel this is not the primer for you ( if you want to try a silicone free option from this brand I would go with the illuminating primer). It feels smooth on the skin with a skin tone color that doesn’t show up on the skin.

Pretty Vulgar The Ink gel liner

img_5199.jpg

Next product is the Pretty Vulgar The Ink gel eyeliner in Black List. It is a pigmented black liner that is quick-drying and water-resistant. You get 6g/0.2oz of product. I was impressed by how difficult this was to get off after swatching it which speaks to it’s staying power. The components of Pretty Vulgar’s products are always so pretty and unique which I love! I mean, look at the ink bottle design for this liner!

Aesthetica 3 piece eye trio

img_5456.jpg

Up next up is the Aesthetica Pro Brush Series 3 piece eye and brow brush set which includes an angled eyeliner and brow brush, brow spoolie and fine tipped eyeliner brush. All three brushes are synthetic and can be used wet or dry and are suitable for use with cream, gel, liquid and powder makeup. The angled eyeliner brush can be used to create a thicker wing or fuller brow. The spoolie is full length and can be used to blend brow products after its been applied and for separating eyelashes after putting on mascara. The fine tipped eyeliner brush is a multi-tasker since it can be used for winged liner, tight-lining and applying product to the waterline.

Retail Value: $45.00

Aesthetica P12 powder brush

img_5457.jpg

Second to last is the Aesthetica P12 Pro Brush Series powder makeup brush which has slightly tapered synthetic bristles and isn’t very dense so it doesn’t pick up a ton of product at once. Would be good for applying a wash of color on your cheeks or a light dusting of setting powder on the face.

Cruelty Free: Yes

Retail Value: $27.00

HAN Skin Care lip gloss

img_5455.jpg

Lastly is the HAN Skin Care Cosmetics lipgloss in Raspberry Chardonney. This gloss contains acai fruit oil, argan oil, coconut creme, shea butter, and vitamin E as well as an extract blend and sea kelp extract. It is pretty opaque and uses plant and vegetable pigments to color the lipgloss. Titanium oxide and mica are two of the last ingredients along with vanilla and the ingredient list says that it may contain iron oxide.

Vegan Friendly: Website says it’s not vegan since it contains beeswax but is vegetarian.

Cruelty Free: Could not find information on this.

Retail Value: $15.00
