Boxycharm June 2018 Subscription – Caribbean Queen
Hey guys! Here is the variation I received for the June 2018 Boxycharm box. Boxycharm is a beauty subscription that costs $21 per month and is shipped out every month. The items that come in each box are usually from the categories of makeup, skincare, and makeup tools. You always get more that $21 worth of products each time and it is by far my favorite beauty subscription of the ones I’ve tried. Boxycharm also has a loyalty program for active subscribers where you can earn charms by reviewing products on the Boxycharm website and referring friends. Each product review earns 50 Charms and each referral will earn you 500 Charms. 1,000 Charms equal $10 in credit that came be used in the Charm Shop. There is still no wait list so if you sign up today you will be set to receive July’s box. If your interested in subscribing to Boxycharm please considering using my referral link or code that is at the end of this post. I don’t receive money when people using it, just Boxycharm rewards point. Thanks and hope you enjoy the rest of this post!
To start off everyone was to receive the Alamar Cosmetics Reina Del Caribe Vol. 1 eyeshadow palette, Battington silk eyelashes in the style Monroe, Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream, and the Luxie 3 piece flawless complexion set. For the first variation every Boxycharm subscriber received either a Ofra liquid lipstick in Verona or a Girlactik matte lip paint in either Playful or Blossom. The second variant was the Jontéblu eyeliner in either Charcoal or Dark Brown.
Alamar Reina Del Caribe Vol. 1 eyeshadow palette
The Reina Del Caribe Vol. 1 eyeshadow palette is the first palette released by the brand Alamar Cosmetics which was created by Gabby Trujillo. The shades were inspired by the beauty and culture of Cuba which is where Gabby is from. There are four pigmented matte shades and four intense metallic shades. There is a water droplet symbol next to the names of the shades that can be used with a wet brush and a sun symbol next to the shades that should be used with a dry brush. The two top metallic shades are softer than the metallic shades below them so I would advise you to take care when picking them up from the pan. A lot came off from the bottom two matte shades as well when I was swatching them so take care with those also. Overall I really like this palette and can’t wait to put together some eye looks with it.
Retail value: $28.00
Battington Monroe silk lashes
Next are the Battington 3D silk lashes in the style Monroe. They have a durable handcrafted cotton band that is on the thicker side so you may want to add some liner to your upper lash line to hide the band. The 3D effect is achieved by using multiple layers to make the lash appear more natural in structure. You can get up to 25 uses out of them with proper care. On Battington Beauty’s website they have a scale that they use to rate how much volume a lash has and these come in at 3.5 out of 5.
Vegan: Unknown. Could not find information about the source of the silk*. Contacted company and waiting for a response.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream
Next is the Brazilian Bum Bum cream by Sol de Janeira. This is a fast-absorbing body cream that is supposed to tighten and smooth skin. The key ingredients are guaraná and guayusa which are both rich in caffeine, cupuaçu butter which is full of skin benefiting fatty acids, acai fruit oil which contains antioxidants, Brazil nut to support skin health and vitality and coconut oil which is very nourishing to the skin. The scent is pistachio caramelo and is pretty strong. The scent reminds me of another bath and body product but can’t seem to put my finger on it.
Retail value: $10.00 for 25ml purse size
Luxie 3 piece flawless complexion brush set
The Luxie 3 piece flawless complexion brush set was also included in the box. This set includes the 516 duo fibre brush, 522 tapered highlighter brush and 660 precision foundation brush. Luxie brushes are handcrafted with hypoallergenic and high-quality materials. They are also vegan and cruelty-free. The 516 is best used with your favorite cream or powder face products to achieve a light wash of color. The 522 is a fluffy, tapered highlighting brush that can be used to set the under eyes with powder or with a highlighting powder to highlight the high points of the face. The 660 brush can be used with cream, liquid and powder foundations to create a airbrushed finish.
Retail value: $38.00
Ofra long lasting liquid lipstick in Verona
For the variation I received the Ofra liquid lipstick in Verona which is described as a mocha nude brown. Ofra’s liquid lippies have a matte, long lasting formula and are enriched with Vitamin A and antioxidants. I’ve enjoyed all the Ofra liquid lipsticks I’ve tried in the past so I’m looking forward to wearing this one. It is also in the shade range I’ve been drawn to lately which makes me happy.
Cruelty free: Yes
Retail value: $20.00
Jontéblu eyeliner pencil in charcoal
The last variant and item in my box is the Jontéblu eyeliner pencil in charcoal. I like the shade of this eyeliner and the formula is not too bad for a drugstore priced liner as far as creaminess and pigmentation goes. I did have to pass over spots a few times to get full opacity for the swatch so that is something to consider.
Cruelty free: Not sure
Retail value: $5.00
Total value of June’s box is $129.00 which makes for a really great deal!
Hope you enjoyed this post and I will be putting up my July 2018 Ipsy Glambag review next!
*Silk can also be make from vegan sources like soy residue and wood cellulose pulp.
