Hey guys! Here is the variation I received for the August 2018 Boxycharm box. Boxycharm is a beauty subscription that costs $21 per month and is shipped out every month. Shipping is included in the cost of the subscription for those residing in the United States. Subscribers who have a Canadian address are required to pay an additional $5.00 per box for shipping and are responsible for paying the duty and other customs expenses. You get 5-6 full size items in each box that are usually from the categories of makeup, skin care, and makeup tools. You always get more that $21 worth of products each time and it is by far my favorite beauty subscription of the ones I’ve tried. Boxycharm also has a loyalty program for active subscribers where you can earn charms by reviewing products on the Boxycharm website and referring friends. Each product review earns 50 Charms and each referral will earn you 500 Charms. 1,000 Charms equals $10 in credit that came be used in the Charm Shop. If your interested in subscribing to Boxycharm please considering using my referral link or code that is at the end of this post. I don’t receive money when people using it, just Boxycharm rewards points. I included non-affiliated links for the products if you are interested in checking them out. Thanks and hope you enjoy the rest of this post!
To start off everyone was to receive the Laura Lee Los Angeles Party Animal eyeshadow palette a Smashbox lippie and 3 of the Wander Beauty Baggage Claim gold eye masks. For the first variation Charmers received either the Tarte Lifted Sweatproof mascara, a Becca Cosmetics primer, or 1 pair of House of Lashes false lashes. The other possible products you could receive were the Adesse sweet almond cuticle oil, Bang Beauty gel eyeliner in chocolate, and ncLA so rich lollipop lollipop cuticle oil.

Now on to the products!
Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in the shade Top Shelf

The number of shades available in the Be Legendary lipsticks come in is an astounding 120 in a mix of cream and matte finishes. The shade I received is Top Shelf which is a warm rose cream. This cream lipstick is formulated with shea butter, vitamin C and vitamin E to soften and protect lips. This lipstick feels comfortable on the lips and the pigmentation is definitely there.

Bang Beauty gel eyeliner in Chocolate

I don’t know if it was my brush or the product but I had a hard time swatching this eyeliner. The pigmentation isn’t very good and it came off kind of chunky when I tried to apply it with an eyeliner brush. It was suggested that it could be used as an eyeshadow base and brow pomade which I tried and still struggled to make it work. The Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof liner ($21) or the L.A. Girl gel eyeliner ($8) work better in my opinion and do recommend those.

House of Lashes false lashes in the style Siren
These wispy false lashes are made with 100% human hair and can last up to 15 wears. The inner length of the lashes is 8mm, middle is 16mm and outer is 9mm that attach to a 28mm band. The slight variant in length of those sections creates an unstructured look that is different from your typical falsie. I don’t normally wear falsie since I haven’t been able to find a glue that doesn’t irritate my eyes but still plan on keeping these around till I do for special occasions.

Wander Beauty Baggage Claim gold eye masks
The Wander Beauty Baggage Claim gold eye masks are made to brighten, hydrate and reduce the appearance of dark circles. They are made up of a gold layer, elastic layer and cellulose fiber layer. The gold foil helps to trap heat and keep moisture from evaporating to get the maximum effect from these masks. The elastic functions to keep the mask from slipping and the cellulose layer delivers the valuable ingredients expertly. The inclusion of hyaluronic acid provides amazing hydration since this acid can help retain 1,000 times its weight in water inside skin cells. Aloe leaf extract and lavender oil provide a bonus cooling effect to calm and sooth.

Laura Lee Los Angeles Party Animal eyeshadow palette

This palette is made up of 4 matte shades, 1 matte shade with glitter and 1 shimmer shade. The color selection is very bold and reminds me of the 80s which is not a bad thing in my opinion. Who else is a new kids on the block fan? The only way I can think of to incorporate this palette into a daily look is to add a pop of color to the lower lash line which makes it not very versatile.
I didn’t include the link to this product since I do not agree with the things that came out recently concerning Laura Lee. I’m okay with reviewing it since it came in my subscription box but am not okay with sending traffic to her site.
Product size: Full size
Product value: $19.00 for 0.3oz/7.8g total product
Total value of box: The total box value was $89.00 which isn’t the highest value I’ve seen from Boxycharm. There was a variety of products in this box which was nice to see even though they didn’t necessarily go together.
Stay tuned for my next post coming soon!
